Country Home with Ocean View
3 Bed|3 Bath|295m²
Ojochal, Puntarenas
LOCATION: Ojochal, Puntarenas
This professionally built luxury home is located in a private area with an exceptional view over pristine forest to the Pacific Ocean, with Cano Island on the horizon. The lower half of the property is undisturbed forest, and the whole property is perfectly designed and located for the nature-lover.
This large residence has a lot of charm and modern features (see list); it is offered fully furnished. The high ceilings and large windows provide a fresh breeze throughout. A small rear extension provides accommodation for a caretaker. The beautiful, wide, covered wrap-around terrace (veranda) offers comfort in all weathers to enjoy outdoor living at its fullest and to observe the prolific wildlife and the unmatched sunsets. The present owner has observed more than one hundred species of birds on or from the property.
A large pool behind the house provides an alternative area to relax or entertain guests. The property is surrounded by mature and well-kept landscaping.
The owner will consider financing.
Whether you are retired or retiring, or seeking new business challenges, the Ojochal area has much to offer including a variety of excellent restaurants with a traditional, European or North American flair. The emerging commercial centre of Uvita, a few kilometers to the north, while retaining its “beach and jungle” atmosphere, has banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, business centres, hair salons, service stations and a medical centre. Between Ojochal and Uvita is Marino Ballena National Park, with some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and pristine beaches, and in Ojochal are the gorgeous public Ventanas and Tortuga beaches, recently colonized by scarlet macaws.
Further south on the coastal highway (Costanera Sur) is San Buenas, site of a new golf course of which the first 9 holes are open for operation, as well as the towns of Cortes (5 minute drive from Ojochal) and Palmar Norte (10 minutes). The new regional hospital is in Cortes and Palmar has a regional airport. A new international airport for the southern zone has been approved for construction south of Palmar.
The Osa Peninsula, which is readily accessible by road, is home to the Corcovado National Park , one of Costa Rica’s greatest natural attractions.
