People often ask me about the history of Potrero. The word “Potrero” actually means “pasture” in English, which is exactly what this area was before it was developed. With the exception of Pacific Heights, the geography of Potrero itself is relatively flat, making it easy for residents to walk and bike from place to place in the town and to the beach.
