The homes were built 40 years ago as a Tico home and storage building, then redesigned and thoroughly updated in 2013/2014. The style is a combination of the old and the new that works well for you or as a rental. It has a country flavor that consistently gets 5 star reviews from guests. All of the infrastructure like electric and water were updated to German standards, with 100 and 220. In the main house, a space for a second bathroom is ready for fixtures, with electricity and water lines already in place.

The grounds are a combination of open space with many fruit bearing trees plus natural sites for more buildings, and jungle that attracts the vast variety of Costa Rican wildlife. An easy trail takes you down through an old cacao plantation and primary rainforest to the river where a waterfall crashes into a large swimming hole that is a bit of heaven on earth. From some vantage points in the homes and on the grounds you can see a slice of the Pacific Ocean, not only giving you a tantalizing view of its vastness, but also allowing breezes from the ocean to come right into your home.

The property is less than 10 minutes from Uvita, where you will find restaurants, grocery stores, international schools, banks, mechanics, tour operators and more. Uvita has become the center of gravity for our area and a place where you can find friends of like interests, whether Ticos or foreigners.
