The Area
This home was built in one of our beach front gated/guarded communities. Nope. This home is not beachfront. It is located just a couple lots away from the beach. This enables the home to have a lot less maintenance due to the daily onslaught of humid salt air from the ocean and, more importantly, have a price tag which is $500K less!!
The wave at Playa Negra is located just five minutes away. In fact, many homes here in this gated community that are located on the beachfront have a walk that is even longer. Some of the beachfront homes here don’t even see the wave. Surfing here in this area is one of the main focuses. Playa Negra is perfectly situated for surfing. There are nearly 20 breaks here and Playa Negra is in the middle of all of them. None of the others require more than a ten minute drive to the north or ten minute drive to the south.
Believe it or not, Playa Negra has a plethora of excellent restaurants (see our blog), shopping, small grocery stores, and tour services. Homes here have a few rental management companies to choose from (making your purchase worry free and seamless).
Infrastructure
This incredible home is only about a mile or so from the paved road. This area has internet serviced by a fiber-optic network, telephone, electricity, and 3G (soon to be 4G) cel service signal. The home has a steady water supply from the development and public water is in the works. All homes on the entire coast of Costa Rica have their own septic system.
