Coco Beach Village is the new hotel at Matapalo beach (Savegre) on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is the closest hotel to the beautiful beach without being in the restrictive concession zone.
There are seven 1-bedroom units and one 2-bedroom suite. Six of the 320 sq. f.t 1-bedroom units are studio style with an inset vanity, bathroom, and shower. One of the units is designed for wheelchair accessibility. Another one-bedroom is 480 sq. ft. deluxe studio. The 2-bedroom unit is 750 sq. ft. that has a living room and 2 separate bedrooms. All units have mini-kitchenettes with microwave oven, faucet/sink, and countertop space to prepare easy meals.
The hotel is a boutique bed and breakfast style, but with elegance and privacy. The L-shape building architecture surrounds a large lagoon pool and a spacious tropical garden with umbrella tables and hammocks. The property is ornate with many indigenous statues and decor. The hotel was designed and built for simplicity of operation and maintenance with no complicated infrastructure. The building and grounds are secured with a well-integrated security system and a single electric sliding gate entrance. Vehicles can be parked on-site in both a covered shelter and open parking lot.
The hotel is unique to Matapalo beach and Playa Linda and has no equivalent competition. It is stylish with beautifully finished tropical hardwoods and decorations. The bedroom suites are fully functional living areas, spacious and comfortable and pleasantly air-conditioned. The guests enjoy being in the suites as much as relaxing outside in the garden pool area.
There is a common eating area where the breakfasts are prepared and served. During the day and evening, this area also serves as a walk-up refreshment center, where there is a vertical glass cooler with an assortment of beverages. It is an area where guests can mingle, have a drink and a snack.
Local restaurants and convenience stores are only a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
Coco Beach Village has an attractive utility design for the valued tourist and caters to those that want to enjoy being right at the beach. This unique combination almost guarantees full occupancy during the high seasons.
Overhead is low to operate the business. Only 2-3 employees would be required to operate housekeeping, building maintenance and gardening. There is easy paved access to the main Costanera highway just minutes away. Ideally located 20 minutes from Quepos and the local airport and less than 30 minutes to Pez Vela marina and Manuel Antonio national park. Drive south 15 minutes to Dominical, a fun, carefree surf and beach town with many restaurants. This is the perfect formula for a great small business income generator.
